Our Venue
The Milford Cruising Club is complete with a restaurant at the club that will be serving food every day of the event.
Nearby, there are two supermarkets, Woolworths and New World, a walkable or short drive from the Club. https://maps.app.goo.gl/MeCVJJfyZfMiD42N7
The shopping center also has many other shops for food, chemist and clothes etc. There are quite a few restaurants near the Milford Shopping Centre as well. Or just down the road a short drive in Takapuna.
For boat equipment: The best place to go is Westhaven Marina, 15min drive from club, to either Fosters or Burnsco. Fosters is more specialised yachting equipment. Burnsco has yachting equipment but is more general boating equipment as well.
Sailutions is a little closer to the club and has a good selection of Seldon equipment. Chains Ropes and Anchors is in a similar location to Sailutions and has a large selection of rope. Although most dinghy ropes are best sourced from Fosters.

Getting Around
Local Transport:
Public transport can be used if you buy a ATHOP card at the airport. These cards can be used to swipe on and off local buses, trains and ferries. Most trips are about $5, although ferries can be more than $20.
There are also other transport providers such as:

UBER is a good way of getting taxi type travel. If you get a taxi that is not UBER, Make sure it is branded, such as bluecabs, or cheapcabs. Some unbranded taxi's have very high fares.
Most rental car companies are available here, we recommend looking at https://www.rentalcars.com/ to see what is available. It is also a good way to book the car and they offer insurance as well.
